A little preparation is key to capturing beautiful Kids Portraits by Letroit so thank you for your involvement and assistance.
Clothing Recommendations:
-
Choose simple and comfortable clothing. Please avoid prints, drawings, pictures, sayings, or branding. Keep it plain and simple; there's no need for anything fancy.
-
Since we’ll be shooting against a black background, total-black outfits are ideal. This ensures the emphasis stays on capturing the child's unique personality and emotions.
-
Please keep in mind that Kids Portraits include both close-up and full-body shots, so your child will need to wear black clothing on both the top and bottom.
-
Remove any bright accessories and temporary tattoos. Avoid bright hair bands, bows, headbands, etc.
-
If you're unsure about outfit choices, feel free to send me photos of your options, and I’ll gladly assist.
-
If you do not have any black outfits - please tell me what size your kid has because I might have some clothes for her/him. Otherwise black clothes will need to be purchased.
Preparing Your Child:
Let your child know about the photoshoot in advance and the black clothes they’ll need to wear. You can bring the clothes and change at the location.
If your child is hesitant to wear the black outfit, we won’t push. We’ll start with the clothes they prefer and then gently encourage the switch to black if possible.
The Main Rule:
The key rule is NO PRESSURE. We won’t force them to smile, pose, or act in a specific way. We want them to be themselves and enjoy the experience. Let’s make it a fun and memorable time for them, not an obligation.
Additional Tips:
-
If your child has favourite songs, music, or sounds, please bring a playlist to play at the location. If you don’t have one, we can play some random kids’ music or have no music at all.
-
Bring along some snacks or items your child loves to keep them comfortable and happy during the shoot.
